Head of academic Section
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Educational leader responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment that meets the approved curricula and mission of the school.
Scheduling, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, personnel management, emergency procedures, and facility operations.
Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis.
Organize and supervise procedures for identifying and addressing special needs of students including health-related concerns, and physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsible behavior.
Qualification:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and at least a certificate in Education
Minimum of 3 years in school administration with experience in teaching at the JHS
Ability to teach at least one subject at the JHS
Knowledge of basic computer skills will be an advantaged
Excellent interpersonal skills

School Administrator
A school administrator with conversant with the Ghana Education Service curriculum and knowledge of the British, American and or the International Baccalaureate certificate will be an advantage. This role involves:
Leading the preparation of the school’s strategic plans
Annual work-plan and budget
Day to day management of the school
Supervision of academic and non-academic staff
Keeping and maintain school records
Providing guidance and mentoring staff and
Any other tasks as may be determined necessary for the smooth administration of the school.
The successful candidate will be required to monitor and evaluate the performance of staff and provide feedback. The administrator will report directly to the Executive Director.

The successful class or subject teacher should have an excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum and considerable teaching experience. Accounts/Office Assistant
This role requires supporting staff with day to day office administration, bookkeeping and front office responsibilities.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Answering phone calls
Dealing with email and telephone enquiries
Filing, photocopying and scanning of documents
Keep diary up to date and keep on top of upcoming events/tasks
Maintain school records and filing systems
Meet and greet visitors
Processing cheque and bank payments
Liaising with school administrator to keep accounts up to date
Support new operational tasks and projects
Ordering school materials for various departments
Tracking orders placed
Skills required:
We are looking for someone who is highly numerate and analytical with ability to interpret information quickly and has strong ownership, interpersonal skills, initiative and drive. Someone with excellent communication and telephone manners and ability to communicate at different levels from senior staff to administration staff. The candidate should have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (training available), excel and power point.
Librarian
The school library is small and is intended to serve the students and teachers and visitors, The books are yet to be catalogued and therefore numbers are not known. The librarian will be considered a senior staff position and will have administrative responsibilities including attendance at staff meetings, preparing budgets and strategic planning for the use and maintenance of the library as an integral part of learning regime within the school.
Main responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the library including cataloging, circulation, collection development, reference access, planning and budget
Lead the updating and implementation of a library plan for improvements, proactively seeking financial support through grants and collaboration
Manage school records and archives
Collaborate in the setting up and managing a digital library
Maintain and administer the integral library system with emphasis on improving the library catalog and incorporating it in the Datazone/information
Oversee the maintenance and improvements of the physical facilities, equipment and conditions of the library environment to ensure adequate long-term material conservation and visitor experience
Provide professional reference services for students and teachers and other users
Identify financial resources for continued library maintenance, collections enhancement, archiving and storage
Lead and coordinate the reading club of the school
Any other responsibilities that may be assigned by management.
